Patient guide
Everything before, during and after treatment.
What to expect at each stage, in plain language. General information only: your own plan comes from an examination.
How do I start treatment?
Book a consultation at the Beirut or Nabatieh clinic by calling 03 09 27 62 or sending a request online. The first visit is an examination and a conversation; treatment begins once you have a written plan and have decided.
Your first visit
What happens at the first appointment.
- 01
Before you come
Bring a list of your medicines and medical conditions, and any recent dental X-rays, scans or reports.
- 02
The conversation
You explain what you would like to change and what matters to you. Previous dental experiences and practical constraints are part of it.
- 03
The examination
Teeth, gums and bite are examined. Imaging is taken where it is needed to see the bone and roots.
- 04
Your options
The realistic options are explained with their benefits, limits, risks and number of visits.
- 05
The written plan
You receive a plan that sets out each stage. Take your time; there is no obligation to start.
The implant journey
From consultation to final restoration.
- Step 01
Consultation
You explain what you would like to change. Your teeth, gums, bite and medical history are reviewed, and your questions answered.
- Step 02
Imaging and planning
X-rays, and three-dimensional imaging where it is needed, show the bone. The implant position is planned around the final tooth, and you receive a written plan.
- Step 03
Surgery
The implant is placed under local anaesthesia. Depending on the case, a temporary tooth may be fitted the same day.
- Step 04
Healing
The bone joins with the implant over a period that depends on your case. Follow-up visits check that healing is on track.
- Step 05
Final restoration
The final crown, bridge or arch is made, fitted and adjusted for bite and appearance. Reviews continue in the years that follow.
A general outline, not a fixed sequence. Your treatment plan depends on your own clinical assessment, and stages may be combined or added.
Healing and aftercare
Looking after your new teeth.
Healing times vary with the treatment and the person. Written instructions are given for every procedure, with a way to reach the clinic.
Read: caring for implantsThe first days
Swelling and tenderness are common after surgery. Follow the written instructions on pain relief, cold compresses, soft food and cleaning.
Daily cleaning
Brush twice a day and clean between teeth and around implants daily, using the tools shown at your appointment.
Protect your work
Avoid biting very hard objects. If you grind your teeth, a night guard may be recommended.
Keep your reviews
Regular reviews and professional cleaning catch small problems early. Follow-up is part of the treatment.
Tell the clinic early
Bleeding that does not stop, increasing pain, swelling after the first days, fever or anything loose should be checked promptly.
How pricing works
A written plan before you decide.
The website does not list prices, because the cost depends on what you need. Here is how it is worked out.
- Why there is no single price
- Treatment is built from parts that vary from person to person: the number of implants or teeth involved, any extractions or bone work, temporary teeth, the type of restoration and its material, and the number of visits.
- What decides the cost
- The examination and imaging. Until then, any figure would be a guess, which is why the website does not list prices.
- What you receive
- A written plan that sets out each stage and what it includes, before you decide.
- Staged treatment
- Larger plans can often be carried out in stages. How payments relate to the stages is explained when the plan is agreed.
Free checklist
Before your implant consultation.
A one-page checklist of what to bring, what to ask and what to expect. Print it or keep it on your phone.
Questions
Questions before treatment
General information only. It does not replace an examination or personal advice.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
A list of any medicines you take, details of medical conditions, and any recent dental X-rays or reports you have. If you have had dental treatment abroad, bring what records you can.
Will I have treatment on my first visit?
The first visit is usually a consultation and examination. Treatment generally starts once you have the plan and have had time to decide, unless something urgent needs attention.
Do I need X-rays or a scan?
Imaging is often needed to plan implants and larger restorations safely, because it shows the bone, roots and nearby structures that cannot be seen in the mouth. What is needed is decided at the examination.
How long will I be off work after implant surgery?
Many people return to work the next day after a single implant. For larger procedures such as a full arch, planning a few quiet days is sensible. You will be advised for your own case.
What can I eat after implant surgery?
Soft, cool or lukewarm food for the first days, chewing away from the treated area. You will be given written instructions on how and when to return to a normal diet.
Can I smoke after implant treatment?
Smoking slows healing and increases the risk of implant problems. Stopping, or at least avoiding smoking around the time of surgery and healing, gives the implant the best chance.
What happens if something feels wrong after treatment?
Call the clinic. Some swelling and tenderness is expected, but bleeding that does not stop, increasing pain, fever or a loose restoration should be checked.
Do I still need check-ups after treatment is finished?
Yes. Implants, crowns and veneers last best with regular reviews and professional cleaning, so problems can be caught early. Follow-up is part of the treatment.
How are payments arranged?
Your written plan sets out each stage of treatment and what it includes. How payments are spread across the stages is explained when the plan is agreed.
Is the website a substitute for a consultation?
No. The information here is general. Only an examination can tell what is right for your teeth.
Appointments
Let’s create your next smile.
Appointments are arranged by phone or through the request form, at either clinic. Sending a request does not commit you to anything.
